Who would have seen this coming ;)? Meta is launching Muse Agent, and it comes with Agentic Commerce features.
As of now, Meta is adding user-distributed invite codes for Muse as the agent moves from internal testing to a limited closed alpha on mobile and web.
Muse will be able to handle quite a few commerce tasks:
Product Discovery: It can find specific products or deals you are looking for (e.g., finding travel strollers for a trip), display the price, and confirm your interest.
Transaction Authorization: Muse features a widget that lets you select a payment method, review purchase details, and securely authorize a transaction directly within the chat.
Bookings and Reservations: Using an interactive browser-window widget, Muse can navigate websites to track ticket prices, select seats, and finalize bookings for events like cinema showings or dinners.
I find the next one in particular very useful… it might be annoying for merchants, though 😛
Refund Management: It can handle administrative commerce tasks, such as proactively following up on pending refunds (e.g., an airplane ticket refund).
You will be able to find the Muse page on the App Store if you search for “Muse from Meta”. #MetaMuse #MuseAgent #Commerce #AgenticCommerce
