๐ And here it is: OpenAI adds product feed ads to ChatGPT
After the OpenAI Ads Manager was launched last week, OpenAI today announced they are launching catalog (feed) based product ads.
Automated Ad Generation: Retailers no longer have to build campaigns manually with this. By connecting the product catalog to ChatGPT, the platform automatically generates ads using existing product names, images, and attributes.
Familiar Setup: OpenAI is using a catalog schema similar to Google Shopping to make it easier for merchants to adopt.
Conversational Intent: Unlike traditional search or social ads, ChatGPT serves the sponsored placements based on real-time conversational context, offering merchants a new way to reach high-intent shoppers. At Productsup we can already see that consumers that has engaged with an agent before is a lot more likely to convert.
For Performance Marketing teams: OpenAI has already rolled out Cost-Per-Click (CPC) buying and conversion tracking, with Cost-Per-Action (CPA) models currently in development.
We're excited to support this initiative with Productsup having already launched the first Fortune 100 merchants on OpenAI in the US.
