First post of the new year. Let’s look into some Q4 numbers. The 2025 holiday online shopping season was highly successful, marking a historic milestone as the first quarter-trillion-dollar digital holiday season. Consumers leaned heavily into e-commerce, which significantly outpaced traditional brick-and-mortar growth 🚀
💵Top-Line Performance
Total Online Spend: U.S. online holiday spending reached approximately $253.4 billion (Nov 1 – Dec 31).
Year-over-Year (YoY) Growth: Online sales grew by 5.3% compared to 2024. In contrast, total retail (including in-store) grew by about 3.9%–4.2%, showing that digital was the primary engine of growth.
Record Days: Cyber Monday remained the king of shopping, hitting a record $14.25 billion (up 7.1% YoY). Black Friday followed closely with $11.8 billion in online sales.
